It’s about you Joomla!

Once upon a time there were four female aliens who came to earth and suddenly they were asked to implement an event management system for their level 3 Course module, Databases. They didn’t know much about web development. So what happened?

Luckily they had a friend, a very kind human.A guy who loves new technologies and do experiments. He demonstrated Joomla! to the four aliens and gave a copy. However thanks to ease of use, lot of documentations, videos and help from lovely friends the aliens managed to complete their project successfully. A happy ending … ๐Ÿ™‚

Some of you may wondering what is Joomla! Are you?

So let me continue my story….

Joomla is the English spelling of the Swahili word jumla meaning โ€œall togetherโ€ or โ€œas a whole.โ€

Joomla is a popular content management system(CMS), which can be used to build web sites and manage your content. It achieved it’s popularity just because of the cool features like user friendliness and extensibility. It is also free and open source solution which can be used with no cost. ๐Ÿ™‚

It is used by many famous companies and it can be used to develop

* Corporate intranets and extranets
* Online magazines, newspapers, and publications
* E-commerce and online reservations
* Government applications
* Small business Web sites
